The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 is holding a virtual coordination meeting for Tribes and States in Region 5 who are engaged in wetlands protection issues. The meeting will include 2 half-day sessions and be held online via Microsoft Teams. The National Association of Wetland Managers (NAWM) is providing logistical and facilitation support to EPA Region 5.
When: October 14-15, 2025 (2 half-day sessions)
Where: Online via Microsoft Teams
Who: Tribes and states in EPA Region 5 and current and past Wetland Program Development Grant (WPDG) recipients
Why: To share wetland program updates with EPA, Tribes, and States, and to showcase recent WPDG projects

- National Wetland Condition Assessment and Regional Monitoring Network overview
- Region 5 Tribal Wetland Working Group update
- WPDG project presentations, including speakers from Red Lake Band of Chippewa, Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, Minnesota BWSR, and Wisconsin DNR
