2024 MAWWG-NEBAWWG Joint Meeting
The National Association of Wetland Managers (NAWM) and NEIWPCC have teamed up in cooperation with EPA Regions 1, 2, and 3 to host this year’s meeting. The 2024 Joint Meeting of MAWWG and NEBAWWG will be an opportunity to foster continued collaboration across EPA Regions 1, 2, and 3.
The meeting will be held on November 12-14, 2024 at the Hotel Northampton in Northampton, MA. Information on the meeting agenda, accommodations, and more is available below.
Among the many benefits of participation, attendees can expect to:
- Learn about new or updated programs, projects, regulations, data sources & policies
- Exchange knowledge and experiences on wetland programs, strategies, methods & tools
- Network, collaborate, and build partnerships across states/regions
We encourage MAWWG and NEBAWWG members to attend the meeting in person to get the most out of the meeting presentations, participate in the field trip, enjoy New England in the fall, and benefit from the networking and collaboration opportunities that in-person interactions can foster. However, if you are unable to travel to Northampton, we will offer a listening-in option to attend remotely.

The meeting will consist of a field trip on the afternoon of Tuesday (11/12/24), followed by two full days of sessions (Wednesday and Thursday, 11/13/24 and 11/14/24).

Accommodations
The Hotel Northampton is located at 36 King St., Northampton, MA 01060. The deadline for making reservations within the room block has passed. If you need to make changes to your reservation, call the Hotel Northampton at 413-584-3100.
Meeting attendees will be provided with a light breakfast and lunch buffet on both Wednesday (11/13/24) and Thursday (11/14/24). All other meals will be on your own. The Coolidge Park Cafe at the Hotel Northampton is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. In addition, there are many local restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Travel Information
If you are driving to the meeting, the Hotel Northampton offers complimentary parking on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Hotel Northampton is also conveniently located 0.3 mile from the Northampton Train Station (located at 170 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA 01060). The train station is served by the Amtrak Valley Flyer Route, which connects Northampton to New Haven, CT. From New Haven, additional Amtrak lines are available to continue on to New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, DC, and more locations in the northeast and mid-Atlantic.
If you plan to fly to the meeting, the closest airport is Bradley International Airport, located between Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA, and approximately 38 miles from the Hotel Northampton. Bradley Airport hosts nonstop flights to and from many destinations in the northeast and mid-Atlantic, including Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Richmond, and Washington, DC.
NAWM has set up a Ride Board for meeting attendees to coordinate shared rides from the airport or other points of origin. Please use this board to offer a ride, if you have extra seats available, or to note when you will need a ride to the meeting. NAWM and NEIWPCC will monitor the Ride Board and may be able to provide rides from the airport to the meeting and back.
